At The American Pops Orchestra, we believe every young person deserves the opportunity to experience the power of music, regardless of where they live or what resources are available in their community. Through innovative educational programs including national competitions, masterclasses, and paid performance opportunities for young artists, we are helping the next generation of artists, audiences, and arts leaders build skills, find inspiration, and unlock new opportunities through music.

For the past 10 years our Children's Outreach Tours have brought free, one-of-a-kind musicals to students in underserved communities across all 50 states, reaching hundreds of thousands of young people each year through both in-person performances and nationwide livestreams.

For collegiate musicians, we've created pathways to professional growth through mentorship, training, national competitions, and paid performance opportunities alongside world-class artists and musicians. Through initiatives like our NextGen National Vocal Competition and Ruth Wales du Pont Collegiate Composition Competition, we provide collegiate vocalists and composers from across the country with meaningful opportunities for coaching, industry connections, national recognition, and cash prizes.
