The American Pops Orchestra was joined by some of your favorite queens on December 19 at 9 PM for "Drag Out the Holly: A Holiday Drag Extravaganza". A concert broadcast filmed live at Meridian International Center, "Drag Out the Holly" features performances by RuPaul's Drag Race contestants Alexis Michelle, JuJubee, and Peppermint, as well as NYC queen Lagoona Bloo. The four queens were joined by singer-songwriter Bright Light Bright Light and Pennsylvania Representative Brian Sims performed their own spin on holiday classics with The American Pops Orchestra.

This evening hosted by Luke Frazier, APO's Music Director and Founder, featured classic holiday songs from "Santa Baby" to "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas". "Drag Out the Holly" was broadcast free of charge. Your contributions allow us to continue creating content and shows like "Drag Out the Holly".

APO partnered with LGBTQ+ organizations and other nonprofits across the country not only to enjoy an evening of holiday cheer, but to use this performance as an opportunity to raise awareness of the organizations working for equality in the United States. Although this broadcast was viewable free of charge, donations are encouraged to support APO and their partner organizations. Each partnering organization was given a unique donation code that individuals can use to allocate 50% of their donation to that group.

"Drag Out the Holly" was filmed live in Washington, DC, at Meridian International Center following strict COVID protocols to protect APO's musicians and artists health and safety. This production was filmed outdoors in front of a small, live audience.
